Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are designed to clarify how we will work together.
Please read them carefully before booking a clutter clearing consultation with Olivia James.
GENERAL INFORMATION: I will never tell you to dispose of any item. I may advise you and give you insights into how keeping clutter may be affecting you, but the final decision about whether you keep or dispose of any item will be entirely yours. I can therefore accept no responsibility for the consequences of any decision you make.
I will always endeavor to help you identify any items among your possessions that have potentially high market value, but you must acknowledge that I am not a qualified valuer and do not have the expertise to identify items of special value or rarity. I always take great care when handling items. However, accidents can happen, and you agree that I cannot and will not be held liable for any losses or damage, howsoever caused.
CONFIDENTIALLY: You may rest assured that I will never divulge any personal or business details that I may see in the course of working with you. The only way in which your situation may be mentioned to others is in the context of my own services, in my writings, or to consult with my professional advisor(s), and it will only be done in such a way that you will be completely unidentifiable (for example, “a family I once worked with…” or “a clutter clearing consultation I once did…”)
FEES: Payment is due at the end of each session, except in the case of a series of consultations that have been booked at an agreed special price that is payable in advance. Payment can be made in cash, by cheque, email transfer, or credit card. Materials will be included and travel expenses will be charged for journeys over 30km.
CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT: Both parties have the right to cancel or postpone a consultation due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of less than 48 hours notice being given, I reserve the right to charge 50% of the agreed fee.
